Pastor Jim was born and raised in Valparaiso and has returned after thirty seven years away. He and his wife, Lynn (from Merrillville), moved here from Oroville, CA. in 2007. He pastored there for twenty years with the Conservative Baptist Association. He was saved at the age of twenty six and has been a pastor the last twenty six years. He was ordained at the First Baptist Church of San Jose, CA. in 1985. They have three adult children.

Brian was hired on at Washington Evangelical Free Church in June of 08 as Associate Pastor. His primary responsibility is to grow the 20’s and 30’s crowd. He also works with the youth group. Brian married his high school sweet heart Anne in 1994. Brian and Anne have two adopted sons, Jacob born in 01, and Tristan born in 04. The family currently lives in LaPorte IN. Brian started a career as a local truck driver in 96. In 98 he started taking classes part time at Moody Bible Institute. He transferred to Andersonville Theological Seminary in 04. He graduated with a Bachelors of Biblical Studies in 08 after working full time and going to school part time for 10 years. Brian and Anne also attended the Evangelical Free Church of America’s Church Plant Training. Brian has received additional church plant training through Natural Church Plant Development. Brian is a pretty easy going guy. He loves to laugh and joke. He enjoys music and plays the harmonica and guitar. He also enjoys card games, checkers, and chess.
